The document discusses the positive and negative effects of migration. It defines migration as the movement of people between countries or within a country. The causes of migration include poverty, unemployment, natural disasters, and desires to improve living standards or education. Internationally, migrants move between countries, while internal migrants move within a country, such as from rural to urban areas. Positive effects include increasing the labor supply and enhancing economic status. However, migration can also lead to overcrowding, pollution, and income inequality in destination locations.
