1. INTRODUCTION

The biggest issue among the students of Bestari Integrated Islamic School is the lack of
appreciation about the true meaning of independence.

“Malaysia Madani : Determination of Unity, Fulfilling Hope” chosen as the theme of the
Independence Month 2023 celebration which emphasizes the spirit of love for our beloved
country. The reason why this theme was being chosed is to underpine the determination
and commitment of the leaders with the people as a nation nation nation with a high spirit
of unity, unity and a peaceful and prosperous life. The activities that carried out are as a tool
in order to give the awareness about the independence of Malaysia to the students.
Hopefully, the activities carried out will provide benefits and exposure to the students on
the true meaning of independence as well as as a catalyst to foster friendly relations and
cooperation among the students and teachers of Bestari Integrated Islamic School.

2. Goals

The main goals of the activities in conjunction with the independence celebration is to foster
the spirit of love for the country among the students and teachers of Bestari Integrated
Islamic School. In addition, it can raise awareness among the students about the concept
and strings of the Malaysia's independence history and the struggle of various parties
seeking for the independence. Apart from that, the competition that will be organised at
the school might be possible to discover the latent talents of the students of Bestari
Integrated Islamic School as a whole. Teachers are also will able to identify the potential of
students who are able to establish the good name of the school to the higher level such as
the competition that organised by district of Kinta, Ipoh.
3. RATIONAL

Therefore, this special programme was planned involving various activities in the form of
competitions and non-competitions carried out in an effort to inculcate and appreciate the
meaning of independence that the country has achieved over the past 61 years.

4. OBJECTIVES

1. Cultivate the spirit of love for the nation among the students as well as to appreciate
the true meaning of independence.

2. Inculcate the value of gratitude in the students.

3. Able to strengthen the relationship between students and teachers, cooperate and
discipline and show high commitment to the instruction given.

5. TARGET : All teachers and students of Year 1 – 6
