Education plays a crucial role in helping individuals achieve their aspirations and
and provides a platform for students to demonstrate their capabilities and enthusiasm for
individual's capabilities but also forms the cornerstone for nurturing and fortifying their
leadership skills (Rapuela M., De Los Santos, C.M., Viking, A.F., Polinar, M.A., 2024).
toward a common goal or vision. According to Kouzes & Posner (1995, 2002), leadership is
a critical factor in the growth and development of individuals and organizations. Good
leaders can envision the future, set clear goals, bring people together, and motivate them to
give their best. Leaders are considered inspirational role models in organizations, and
foster positive group dynamics through improved cooperation and collaboration. Enhancing
work performance and achieving employee satisfaction require leadership traits such as
encouragement, gratitude, and an optimistic outlook (Yasmin, 2018). Recognizing leadership
qualities enables people to make better decisions when acting in leadership capacities or
participating in group decisions. Developing leadership traits can also improve one's
chances of securing a good job, as companies highly value strong leadership qualities.
Academic achievement can support instructional design by helping students set achievable
goals and develop better study habits. Students with excellent academic standing can also
benefit from reduced school costs by applying for scholarships and other financial incentives.
The relationship between leadership qualities and academic achievement has long
been a topic of interest in educational research. While studies have shown a positive
correlation between the two, the complexity of this relationship is often overlooked,
especially in diverse student populations. Many studies have focused on specific leadership
limiting the generalizability of findings to diverse student groups. This study aims to address
these gaps by examining the interrelationship between leadership qualities and academic
The study aims to explore and analyze the relationship between leadership qualities
and various academic achievement metrics among students from diverse backgrounds. By
using a multifactorial approach, the researchers will assess the direct correlation between
leadership qualities and academic performance and investigate how these relationships vary
