INTRODUCTION
The Feeding Program gives a healthy, fresh, and nutritious lunch to children who are
hungry or to regions where we can clearly see that adults are unable to adequately
accommodate their meals. This organization also aspires to provide free meals to
children who live in the area where we will be traveling.
Feeding is a tool that today effectively enables hundreds of millions of disadvantaged
children in both developed and developing countries to be fed to their meals.
The benefits of a feeding program are described in this study, as well as how this well-
proven technique can be scaled up and carefully targeted to solve some of the
fundamental barriers to universal primary health care completion. One of the benefits of
the feeding program is that, in addition to improving health, it has beneficial direct and
indirect effects on a variety of other development objectives (namely for gender equity,
poverty and hunger reduction, partnerships and cooperation, care and prevention, and
improvements in health and other social indicators).
Some of the ramifications are also examined here. Even in the most industrialized
countries, hungry children can benefit from school lunches.
Through this program, we can assist the underprivileged by providing them with meals,
thereby alleviating their hunger. Our crew was in charge of preparing and planning the
dishes to be cooked. We carefully prepared and cooked the meals so that they would
be worthwhile for the children who were eating them.
We can convince the children that the meals we cooked were clean and wholesome
because they contained essential items such as carrots and sweet potatoes. We also
season the dish with seasonings to make it more delectable and to make the
youngsters delighted with the meal they were eating.
By giving meals to children/students, the organization aims to close the gap in people’s
hunger. The program, which is run by the barangay, provides a safe environment for
children to have meals and receive free food to go home to their families. At the very
least, we could contribute to ending hunger in our own small manner. We could also
provide nutrition through this simple method of assisting them in ending their hunger.
The program’s goals are to appreciate everyone in the community’s health, to work
together when distributing food, and to regulate children’s behavior. And it was through
this program that the children learned how to give, how to cooperate, and how to
achieve the program’s objectives.
PURPOSE
The mission of Feeding Program aims to give pupils with a daily meal. This may be the
sole meal of the day for some of the children. We all know that education is the key to
escaping poverty, but in order to perform in the classroom, these kids need nourishment
first. If your primary concern during the day is how and when you will eat food, you have
defeated the point of putting a child in a classroom to learn.
The feeding program intends to provide supplemental support for children in day care
centers through a meal program. Through increased nutrition and health education, it
also strives to enhance the knowledge, attitude, and behaviors of children in day care
facilities, parents, and caregivers. Similarly, it aims to improve and maintain the
nutritional status of all target children, as well as report medical and nutrition-related
concerns of children to health facilities.
Hunger relief, reduction of micronutrient deficiency and anemia, prevention of
overweight and obesity, improved school enrollment and attendance, increased
cognitive and academic performance, and contribution to gender equity in access to
education are all advantages of school feeding for children and adolescents.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For CY 2022, food supplementation will be in the form of hot meals to be served either
in the morning before lunch or in the afternoon before dinner to children in the
designated feeding centers five (5) days a week. Parents will manage the feeding
program based on a prepared meal cycle using available indigenous food materials.
The children will be weighed at the start of the feeding and a monthly weighing
thereafter will be done to determine improvement in their nutritional status.
SUPPORT CASE
The food served at the school will be similar to what the children are used to eating at
home. It should contain all of the necessary nutrients for growing children. We use
maize, rice, grain, vegetables, egg, bread, milk, and other foods that are readily
