FIRST WEEK OF INTERNSHIP IN Macario Molina NHS


During first day of my Pre-service Internship, we attended fist the flag
ceremony and they introduces us to the students of Macario Molina National High
School after that Ms. Angel Magdato a Head Teacher fixed the problem of my old
cooperating teacher which is Mrs. Ainabel M. Mores because she is on maternity
leave. Me and Ma’am Theresa Madrona have draw lots for our new cooperating
teacher, I was assigned to Mrs. Charmeine L. Maaba an English teacher is also
handling none major subjects such as TLE 8 and Araling Panlipunan 7. During my
first day with her as a practice teacher, she gave me the schedule and I was assign
first to handle Araling Panlipunan 7 in two sections which are the Beryl and Garnet
and on the other day I’ve asked Ma’am Charmeine if I’m possible to teach TLE which
is the medium of teaching is English and Ma’am Charmeine agreed also because
she said that it can help me to enhance practicing to speak in English. I also
observed the grade 7 students in English subject together with sir Juven whose
cooperating teacher is Mrs. Diana M. Maestro an English teacher in grade 7, she
gave an activity to the students which is message relay and the students enjoyed
the activity.

Second day, all grade 7 Roman Catholic gathered for Cathechism and that
day also Ma’am Diana showed us some samples of lesson plan and instructed us
what we’re going to do and Ma’am Diana gave the topic that I will be discussing on
the next discussion in English where I will be going to prepare my lesson plan and
instructional materials to be used in my discussion. Ma’am Diana is the one who
gives the instructions in doing lesson plan in English subject because she handles all
grade 7 because my cooperating teacher only teaches TLE and Araling Panlipunan
but she always helps in guiding me.

I also observed Ma’am Charmeine’s TLE 8 and Araling Panlipunan 7 class until end
of the week. Next day is quiz day in English and on the fourth day Ma’am Charmeine
asked me to instruct the students in making their output in color wheel that I will be
the one who starts recording and computing their output in TLE, that day also when
I started discussing a new lesson in English grade 7 Crystal and Ma’am Charmeine is
observing at the back and after the discussion she gave a comment and needs to
improve on how to teach properly. On the fifth day she gave and instruct me to
study the lesson as preparation for the next meeting that I will be the one to teach
the topic in TLE and that’s ended my first week as a Pre-service teacher.
