Chapter 5 Support Commands

Upright Method
When drawing objects, the vertical mode is used to ensure that objects are drawn in the X or Y
direction (perpendicular). When the Vertical mode is active, objects can only be drawn at angles of
0 or 90 degrees.
 In the classic menu, click the Settings / General Settings line, and the General Settings
icon in the upper right corner of the ribbon menu is clicked.
 In the General Settings dialog that opens, the "Drawing" tab is clicked.
 The box in front of the ortho line is marked by clicking with the left mouse button.
 When the OK button is clicked and the dialog is exited, the upright mode is activated.
 In the classic menu, the Vertical mode can be turned on or off by clicking the Vertical icon or
the Tools/Capture/Vertical line in the toolbar, and the Drawings/Capture/Vertical icon in the
ribbon menu.
Another way to use Vertical mode is to press the shift key from the keyboard. If object drawings are
made by holding down the Shift key, the objects will be drawn vertically, that is, horizontally or
vertically. When the key is released, the upright mode will also be inactive.
Another feature of the Shift key is that it acts as a miter in drawings. If a drawn object (wall, beam,
line, etc.) will end at the level of any point, the shift key is held down while the object is drawn and
the mouse cursor is shifted to the relevant point. When the cursor shape changes, the left mouse button
is clicked. The drawn object ends at the level of this point.

Upright Reference
A perpendicular reference is used to ensure that the object to be drawn is drawn perpendicular to an
existing object or to the direction described by giving two points. To determine the reference;
 In the classic menu, click on the Tools/Capture/Reference/Vertical line or the
Perpendicular Reference icon from the toolbar, and click on the
Drawings/Capture/Perpendicular Reference icon in the ribbon menu. The shape of the mouse
cursor changes.
 The cursor is shifted to the object to be referenced and the left button is clicked. The clicked object
will be selected and assigned as the reference object. After this stage, the objects to be drawn are
drawn perpendicular to the direction of the determined reference object.

 The second point is determined by clicking the left mouse button in the drawing area. After
that, the objects to be drawn are drawn perpendicular to the determined reference direction.

A parallel reference is used to ensure that the object to be drawn is drawn parallel to an existing
object or to the direction described by giving two points. To determine the reference;

 The Parallel Reference icon is clicked a second time to cancel the parallel reference.
 Advanced Capture
 Node points, corner points, intersections used when drawing with object commands or
performing operations on existing drawings gain importance. With the Advanced Capture
option, it is possible to capture both grid intersections and perform operations at other points.
This feature captures the grid as if it were a node, as well as the nodes and vertices of entities
other than the nodes. It can be activated by pressing the Ctrl key from the
Tools/Capture/Advanced Capture line or toolbar in the classic menu, from the
Drawings/Capture/Advanced Capture icon in the ribbon menu or from the keyboard.
 For example, when it is desired to attach objects such as walls, beams, curtains, etc. to the columns
from different corners, it is necessary to capture the corners other than the node of the arm.
This is where the Advanced Capture feature comes into play. Along with the Advanced Capture

conjunction with
Lock to Nodes. When Advanced Capture is active, the object captures the column corners by
changing marks when the cursor is moved closer to the column corners in drawing mode. Thus,
it is possible to connect objects to any corner of the column.

 For the system shown in the figure above, you can capture the desired corner of the columns
with advanced capture, connecting the beams to the columns. It is possible to reproduce these
examples for different combinations of objects .
 Nodal points do not occur at the points where primitive objects such as lines, circles and arcs
intersect with each other. For this reason, it is possible to capture such intersections with
the "Advanced Capture" mode .

Nearest Point
 Nearest point mode allows objects to be captured from any point in the drawing area.
 Nearest Point mode is activated or inactive by clicking the Tools/Capture/Nearest Point line in

by pressing the F6 key on the keyboard .

Midpoint
 Midpoint mode allows the cursor to capture the object in the center when objects are clicked.
The Tools/Capture/Midpoint line in the classic menu, the Drawings/Capture/Midpoint icon
is clicked in the ribbon menu, or the midpoint feature is activated or inactive by pressing the
F5 key on the keyboard.
When clicking on objects while the midpoint is active, the mouse cursor automatically finds the center point of the object
and when the left button is clicked, the cursor jumps to the center of the object.

Define Local Point

The coordinate values typed in the Coordinate box are relative to the global point of origin, unless
otherwise specified. The user can work according to local coordinates at any stage of the project at
any time. Working according to local coordinates means moving the point of origin to the desired point in
the drawing area. Thanks to this process, large coordinate values are not dealt with. In other words,
the origin can be a desired point and the X and Y coordinates written in the coordinate box can be
entered according to this point.
 The Define Local Point command is used to define the local origin. Before entering the
coordinate information, the Tools/Capture/Define Local Point command is run in the
classic menu, Drawings/Capture/Define Local Point is run in the ribbon menu and a
suitable point is clicked. Then, coordinate values are entered according to the determined local
origin point.
When the local point is defined, the program marks the boxes in front of X and Y in the coordinate
box. This sign is a sign that indicates that you are working in local coordinates. As long as the sign exists,
the coordinate values entered are local values. If there is no marker, it means that we are working
according to global coordinates. The user can remove and mark these marks at any time. The G key can
be used from the keyboard to remove marks or mark them again. The abscissa and ordinates of the
local coordinates defined by the Define Local Point command are 0 and 90 degrees.

Define Local Coordinate System

The coordinate values typed in the Coordinate box are relative to the global point of origin, unless
otherwise specified. The user can work according to local coordinates at any stage of the project at
any time. Working according to local coordinates means moving the point of origin to the desired point in
the drawing area. Thanks to this process, large coordinate values are not dealt with. In other words,
the origin can be a desired point and the X and Y coordinates written in the coordinate box can be
entered according to this point.
The system of local coordinates can also be defined at any angle. In other words, the abscissa and
ordinates of local coordinates can be defined at any angle. For this identification, the Define Local
Coordinate System and Enable Local Coordinate System commands are used.
 In the classic menu, click on the Tools/Capture/Define Local Coordinate System line or
the Define Local Coordinate System icon from the toolbar, and click on

Coordinate System is clicked in the ribbon menu, the local coordinate is canceled and
the global coordinates are returned again. If the Enable Local Coordinate System
command is clicked again at any stage, it will use the last defined local coordinate system.

Find Objects
The Find Object command is used to find and select any object while making a project.

 In the classic menu, click the Layout/Find Object row, in the ribbon menu, click the
Tools/Tools/Find Object icon
Click.
 In the Name of the object line, type the name of the object as it appears on the plan. (S10, K104 etc.)
 Click the Find button.
 The program will zoom in on the object. Click the Select button. The object will be selected.
 Exit the dialog by pressing the Esc key.

Find in Plan
The Find in Plan command locates an object in the plan that exists in 3D perspective and zooms the
screen to that object . When working in a perspective image, it shows where the object is in the plan.
 Select an object in a 3D perspective image.
 Press the right mouse button.

 Press the right mouse button.
 Click the row of similar objects from the drop-down menu.
 The command will enter the mode of the corresponding object and wait for it to be drawn.

Create Capture Points on the Line

Therefore;
 Click the right mouse button in the 3D perspective window
 In the menu that opens, click Create Capture Points On Line.
 Draw the line where the capture points will be created.
