Features of MS PowerPoint
• Slide Layout
Multiple options and layouts are available based on which a presentation
can be created. This option is available under the “Home” section and
one can select from the multiple layout options provided.
• Slide Design
MS PowerPoint has various themes using which background colour and
designs or textures can be added to a slide. This makes the presentation
more colourful and attracts the attention of the people looking at it.
• Animations
During the slide show, the slides appear on the screen one after the
other. In case, one wants to add some animations to the way in which a
slide presents itself, they can refer to the “Animations” category.
OPERATING SYSTEM
An operating system (OS) is the program that, after
being initially loaded into the computer by a boot
program, manages all of the other application programs
in a computer. The application programs make use of
the operating system by making requests for services
through a defined application program interface (API).
Types of Operating Systems
1. Batch Operating System –
This type of operating system does not interact with
the computer directly. There is an operator which
takes similar jobs having the same requirement and
group them into batches. It is the responsibility of the
operator to sort jobs with similar needs .
2. Time-Sharing Operating Systems –
Each task is given some time to execute so that all
the tasks work smoothly. Each user gets the time of
CPU as they use a single system. These systems
are also known as Multitasking Systems. The task
can be from a single user or different users also.
The time that each task gets to execute is called
quantum. After this time interval is over OS switches
over to the next task .
DOS COMMANDS
The DOS command prompt is a critical part of the
Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS-DOS) command
line interface. It is the fundamental setting for the
interface, where the prompt sets the stage for executing
command lines of code.
