Basketball

Basketball is a team sport played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop elevated 10 feet above the court. A basket inside the three-point line is worth two points, while a basket from beyond the three-point line is worth three points. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Players use skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defending to advance their team's score while preventing the other team from scoring. Basketball was invented in 1891 and has grown to become one of the most popular sports worldwide, led by major professional leagues like the NBA.

Basketball is a team sport of two teams, usually consisting of five players each, competing in a

four-sided circle, competing with the main objective of shooting a basketball (about 9.4 inches
(about 24 inches)) from the defender. s hoop (an 18-inch (46cm) diameter basket mounted 10
feet (3.048 m) above the backboard at each end of the court), prevents the opposing team from
shooting through its own hoop. A basket is worth two points, unless it is made behind three
lines, when it is worth three. After a foul, the designated game ends, the player who fouls or is
called to draw a technical foul, one, two or three points are awarded for free. The team with the
most points at the end of the game wins, but if the legal game ends with a tied score, another
period of the game (overtime) is applied. Players pick up the ball by kicking it while walking or
running (running) or passing it to a teammate, both of which require skill. much. On offense,
players can use different types of shots: break, jump, or dunk; in defense, they can steal the ball
from the dribbler, stop or block shots; both the offense and the defense can return a rebound,
which is a free shot that goes off the rim or back. It is an offense to lift or drag your pivot foot
without picking up the ball, picking it up, or holding the ball with both hands and starting to
swing.

Five players are divided into each of the five playing fields. The tallest player is usually the
center, the second tallest and strongest is the power forward, the smaller and more powerful
player is the small forward, and the the smallest or better footballers are the shooter and the
player, who plan the coach's game. by managing the execution of the threat and defense (at the
level of the game). Recently, players can play three-on-three, two-on-two, and one-on-one.
Created in 1891 by James Naismith, a Canadian-American gym teacher in Springfield,
Massachusetts, United States, basketball has emerged as one of the most popular and watched
sports in the world. [1][1][2] The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the largest basketball
league in the world in terms of popularity, salaries, talent and level of competition (drawing most
of its talent from American college basketball). Outside of North America, the top clubs from the
domestic league qualify for continental competitions such as the EuroLeague and the Basketball
Champions League of the Americas. The FIBA Basketball World Cup and men's basketball
tournament are major international events and attract top national teams from around the world.
Each continent hosts regional competitions for national teams, such as EuroBasket and the
FIBA AmeriCup. The FIBA International Football Championship and the Olympic Women's
Basketball Championship bring together the best national teams from the continental
championships. The main North American league is the WNBA (the NCAA Division I Women's
Basketball Championship is also popular), while strong European clubs participate in the
Women's EuroLeague.
