facts and analyze the pros and cons of the situation.

a person has this, the skill of good judgement is applied. One does not base his or her actions on feelings
but also uses intelligence to determine the best action or solution to a problem.

our goals.
Our parents are the ones we follow. They have the authority to say what needs to be done at
home. It is our parents who showed us what being leaders are supposed to be.
Our principal is the leader of the entire school. The teachers are our leaders in our classroom.
The officers are our elected classmates whose main task is to help the teacher manage the class.
Leaders are very important because they help a group of people accomplish their objectives. They are
the captains of the ship, so to speak. They are the ones who manage the people.
A good leader is a good follower. A leader is first a follower. True leadership leads by example. The true
leaders are able to command because they know how to follow. A true leader also seeks self-growth and
self-development knowing that these will benefit the people he or she leads. A true leader is always
updated with the skills necessary in effective leadership.
True leaders are compassionate. They know the needs of their people and respond to the best of their
ability.
ABS-CBN launched “bayan mo, Ipatrol mo”; “ako ang simula” a nationwide campaign to make every
citizen responsible to report any election irregularity.
True leaders are always needed to counteract those who seek to lead for selfish motives. As the saying
goes “It is not enough for good people to do well; they should also correct the bad that is being done in
society.”

person and will allow you to do your different roles effectively.

the person that we have become. Our friends have become our second family.

- Thinks about what is good for each member of a family. Its primary aim is to promote
what is good for the family, knowing that it is the basic unit of society.
There are plenty of blessings in our lives and all we need to do is to be thankful for them. But the
most important blessing are the people who are close to us.
There are 2 important words that can make a person smile: Thank you.
The 2000 American Movie “Pay it forward” shows how it is to express gratitude to those who helped us.
Affirming others is an act of kindness. It promotes goodness and may just changes the world with one
thank-you at a time.
Entitlement mentality – you feel the world owes you a lot so whatever good deed is done to you is
something you expect and deserve.
Respect and obedience – two important values in relation to people who are older than us.
Respect – a recognition of their wisdom and authority in the family and the community.

“To be or not to be-that is the question” by William Shakespeare (the greatest English dramatist).
The DSWD has issued a rule against giving money to street children because such practice does not truly
help them-it simply encourages those children to stay and beg.
It is easier to do good deeds if you are aware of what others truly need.
Being good is doing good. But it is not enough to do good, one should know precisely what is needed to
be done, at a specific situation, to a specific person. Doing good is a manifestation of a far deeper
emotion which we call compassion.
Compassion – is feeling what the other person feels. It is putting yourself in the situation of another
person and understanding his or her feelings. It is as if you were the person who is suffering.
Compassion is more than feeling sorry for someone. It is an emotion that should bring you to action.
True compassion is understanding that rejection is a terrible feeling. So, you will try to find a way that he
or she will not feel rejected but still be honest enough to say that you see him or her as a good friend. It
is not blatantly telling the person that you do not like him or her.
You see many urban slum dwellers who may be living in some areas, such as under the bridges of esteros
or canals, or in the middle of a highway. True compassion for them is helping them get out of the slums,
knowing that the slums are never safe places for them to live in.
Compassion recognizes that you have been blessed to do something for others even if you have your
own problems. It is also accepting the fact that some people are in a far worse situation than you.
Honesty is a value that has been inculcated in us since our childhood. Honesty is something that our
parents always remind us.

Integrity is a fruit of an honest life. A person who has integrity is true to his or her words and deeds.

deeds is easy as long as you are determined to do it.
White lies are still wrong even if you have a valid reason for saying them. It is better to say nothing than
to tell a lie.
Trust will not be given to a liar anymore. Relationship is broken because one is not true to the other.
Remember that what you do is what you become- if you cheat, you will be a cheater; if you lie,
you will be a liar.
If all Filipinos have integrity, then there is no corruption in the government. The financial resources and
money will be properly managed for the good of everyone. Poverty will be reduced and services will be
efficient.
