Fibonacci

This document discusses finding examples of the Fibonacci sequence in objects found locally. It provides examples of the sequence in an apple, banana, human hand, and human thumb mark. The apple is divided into 5 parts with seeds in the middle following the sequence. A banana has 3 main portions separated by 2 smaller sections. A human hand has 5 fingers with each finger consisting of 3 parts separated by 2 knuckles. Even a thumb mark displays the Fibonacci spiral pattern of self-similarity upon magnification.

I chose apple simply because it is the common and easy object to find for me to relate to Fibonacci
numbers. By slicing an apple horizontally as what shows from the picture above. You can see that the
inside part of the apple is not just plain fruit, but it has a unique form. Seeing that it is divided into 5
consecutive parts with a bunch of seeds in the middle portion. The shape is more likely like a star, a star
has five corner vertices.

➳ Banana

Similar to the apple, only the portion divided is only 3 and spread out by
another 2. The pattern in the banana is also similar to the snowflakes. Both
has Reflectional Symmetry or mirror symmetry that each half is a reflection
of the other, Rotational Symmetry because after a rotation it still look the
same, and Self Similar when an object is exactly similar to a part of itself.

HUMAN

Fibonacci sequence is present everywhere, commonly found in vegetables,

animals, fruits, plants, or flowers. While searching for other object that has
relation to Fibonacci, surprisingly I found out that of all the object
surrounded in my locality, a human body is just laying there waiting for me
to inspect it. Every human has two hands, and every hand has five fingers.
Each finger has three parts which are separated by two knuckles and each
part have different length which I enumerated from the picture above. All
of these fit in the Fibonacci sequence. Because every series of number in
which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers.

➳ Thumb Mark
The famous Fibonacci spiral is also found in a human thumb mark, even the
thumb shape. The spiral is also a Self-Similar, the shape is infinitely repeating
when magnified.
