REFLECTION ON IN-SERVICE TRAINING


December 14-18, 2020

Pandemic brought a lot of changes in our lives. We need to adopt to the changes and
be receptive. School INSET is of the many ways that helped equipped and capacitate teachers
at this point in time.

What I like most in the lecture is the Interventions for Modular Distance Learning.
This I think I needed the most. Even if there is no face to face we need to celebrate the small
victories of our learners. Whenever learner completely answered the SLM and the LAS he or
she already showed positive behavior. Sending appreciation message to them will do as a
reward for completing the task.

We need to use humor not sarcasm in our dealings with them, and give instructions
both orally and visually whenever possible that could be done online. We need to guide the
learners to understand their priorities so they can give enough time to answer the SLM. Let
them express their feeling, send them questions that will express what they feel.

We really need to walk an extra mile in the new normal so that quality education may
become possible.
