and edited musical scores by three in-house composers. Input cues and mix-out
versions onto hard-drive library of scores. Cataloged DAT’s and videotapes of
past episodes. Created cue and run-down mix sheets with time-code for post-
production (sound designer) engineers. Reviewed music of new composers and
organized mix-out versions onto hard-drive libraries. Supervised mix sessions.

Ø Arranged, composed sacred music in various styles of music for a six-piece

band, fifteen-member worship team and choir consisting of 200 members from
104 different nationalities. Participating in studio sessions for outside related
projects and upcoming dramas. Contracting outside additional musicians for
special events. Advised the main office of repairs of musical instruments and
necessary upgrades of musical equipment.

Ø Arranged, composed and orchestrated hymns and various styles of music for
string quartet, full-chamber orchestra and a 48-piece bell choir. Participated in
studio sessions and arranged music for both annual Christmas and Easter drams
which (combined) grossed $500,000 in 1996. Contracted orchestral and band
musicians for three full services of illustrated messages, concerts and special
events. Traveled oversees on mission trips and tours involving ministries under
the church to the United Kingdom, Norway (University of Oslo) and Ghana,
Africa, Trinidad & Tobago and South America. Advised leadership of necessary
repairs to musical instruments and making suggestions on any grades of
electronic musical equipment. Prepared and coordinated music for wedding
ceremonies and/or receptions.

Commissions and Selected Performances and Works

• “Unburied, Unmourned, Unmarked” a 30-minute 6 movement for symphony orchestra,

mezzo-soprano, baritone and SATB Chorus commissioned by the Pittsburgh Foundation,
the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, The Benjamin Harris Memorial Fund and the Nicky
Horvitz Gordon Memorial Fund, the Heinz Endowments Small Arts Initiative and The
Opportunity Fund dedicated to the lives of millions and numerous contributions of African
and African-American forced laborers who cultivated the immense, expansive, and
particularly wealthy rice economy in the Lowcountry. It mourns the passing of those who
helped create our American economy, industry and culture as we know it today. This is a
preview for a longer in-progress dramatic opera work.

• “Voices of the West” a 30-minute 6 movement symphonic work with 150 piece chorus
commissioned by the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra under the direction of
Maestra Laura Jackson w/the Los Robles Chorale under the direction of Dr. Leslie
th
Leighton in honor of their 2018-2019 90 anniversary. The new work will commemorate
the city’s founding in 1810, and pay tribute to the contributions of the highly diverse
people groups who settled and developed the region. From the Native American
population to the Christian missionaries, establishment of Spanish rancheros, arrival of
the Mormon settlers, the Holcomb Valley gold rush, and the establishment of railways in
the early 1900’s which historian Burr Belden described as the start of a ‘human tidal
wave’ to the region, and on to the present day, the music will capture the enduring spirit
and vitality of the city with which the Symphony Orchestra shares its name.

• “Cityscapes” a symphonic work commissioned by the Stockton Symphony Orchestra

conducted by Maestro Peter Jaffe as the opening of their 2018-2019 Classics series of
concerts in an educational partnership with the media students and Associate Professors
Adriana Brogger and Kirstyn Russell of the San Joaquin Delta College.

• “Bonny Doon” a 6-minute symphonic work commissioned by Maestro Daniel Stewart for
the Santa Cruz Symphony for their 2018-2019 Enlightenment Concert Series dedicated
to David Kaun, the city of Bonny Doon and the entire beautiful county of Santa Cruz.

• “Atrocities of A Land” (working title) a cello concerto commissioned by the Albanian

government and Albanian cellist Gjilberta Lucaj of the Juilliard School in honor of the lives
lost during their recent genocidal conflict. The composer will reflect upon the atrocities he
witnessed there towards the end of the war during his humanitarian efforts in the city of
Pristina, Kosovo and the pure and impending resilience of a people this present day.

• ‘Synesthesia’ (working title) a newly improvisational symphonic work commissioned by

the Long Beach Symphony developed in a kid’s concert series April 2018 that will have
the kids coordinate, colors, rhythm and other musical elements into a crafted symphonic
work guided by the composer to premiere in it’s entirety through-composed in the
following year April 2019.

• “Big Sur: The Night Sun ” A symphonic work commissioned by the Big Sur Land Trust,
philanthropist David Kaun and Rowland Rebele in conjunction with the city of Carmel
Centennial Celebration. The world premiere occurred October 2016 under the direction
Maestro Max Bragado-Darman with the Monterey Symphony and four guest artists which
include an Ohlone Native American vocalist, a Native American flute player and two
world percussionists. A visual narrative by internationally-acclaimed artist Simon Bull
accompanied the work. Several performances with Oakland, San Bernardino, Reno
Philharmonic have occurred and many other scheduled performances into 2020.

• Octa-Rhumba!. A piece based off of the jazz standard, “Armando’s Rhumba” by Chick
Corea. Premiered w/Ensemble San Francisco (octet) at San Francisco Conservatory
October 2014 and Le Petit Trianon Theatre in San Jose November 2014 and with
Ensemble Monterey 2015 @ the Golden State Theatre.
