Functions

Coolant temperature

Shows engine coolant temperature via a temperature sensor of the NTC type.

Display range: 0-140C.

For a status above 140C, -HI- is shown on the display.
Status warning increasing temperature: 100-103C.
Status warning decreasing temperature: 103-98C.
Status danger increasing temperature: 104 -140C.
Status danger decreasing temperature: 140-104C.

An external control signal (from the engine, via pin R3:15) affects the display and activation of the indication of danger.

Inactive control signal

For a temperature signal in the range 99-103C, 99C is shown. The warning or danger status is not indicated.

A temperature signal from 104C and higher shows the actual temperature and the danger status is indicated.

Note: If the control signal is active, faults in the temperature sensor signal will not be shown as -SE-, but as 100C +
the indication of danger.

Active control signal (earth)

For a temperature signal up to and including 100C, 100C is shown and danger is indicated, irrespective of whether or
not the sensor signal is lower. For temperatures above 100C, the actual value is shown.

Oil temperature, engine

Shows the engine oil temperature via a temperature sensor of the NTC type. The sensor is located on the engine's
left-hand side, in front of the oil pressure sensor.

Display range: 0-150C.

For a status above 150C, -HI- is shown on the display.
Status warning increasing temperature: 131-134C.
Status warning decreasing temperature: 132-129C.
Status danger increasing temperature: 135-150C.
Status danger decreasing temperature: 150-133C.

Air pressure, front brake circuit

Shows the air pressure in the circuit via a capacitive pressure sensor. The sensor is located inside the instrument
panel.

Display range: 0-10 bar.

For a status above 10 bar, -HI-is shown on the display.
Status warning increasing air pressure: 5.3-5.7 bar.
Status warning decreasing air pressure: 5.5-5.1 bar.
Status danger increasing air pressure: 0-5.2 bar.
Status danger decreasing air pressure: 5.0-0 bar.

Air pressure, rear brake circuit

Shows the air pressure in the circuit via a capacitive pressure sensor. The sensor is located inside the instrument
panel.

Display range: 0-10 bar.

For a status above 10 bar, -HI- is shown on the display.
Status warning increasing air pressure: 5.3-5.7 bar.
Status warning decreasing air pressure: 5.5-5.1 bar.
Status danger increasing air pressure: 0-5.2 bar.
Status danger decreasing air pressure: 5.0-0 bar.

Oil pressure, engine

Shows the engine oil pressure via a capacitive pressure sensor. The sensor is located on the engine's left-hand side,
behind the engine control unit (FH12).

Display range: 0-7 bar.

Status warning increasing oil pressure: 0.8-1.0 bar.
Status warning decreasing oil pressure: 0.8-0.6 bar.
Status danger increasing oil pressure: 0-0.7 bar.
Status danger decreasing oil pressure: 0.5-0 bar.

Air pressure, air suspension

Shows the air pressure in the air suspension system via a capacitive pressure sensor. The sensor is located inside the
instrument panel.

Display range: 0-15 bar.

Status warning increasing air pressure: 0-8.5 bar.
Status warning decreasing air pressure: 8.3-0 bar.
Status danger: none.

System voltage

Shows the voltage of the system. The value is obtained via the combination instrument's electronic unit which
measures directly from the cables.

Display range: 17-32 V.

Status warning increasing voltage: 29.5-29.9 V.
Status warning decreasing voltage: 29.6-29.2 V.
Status danger increasing voltage: 30.0-32.0 V.
Status danger decreasing voltage: 32.0-29.7 V.

Battery charging

Shows the current consumption or charging via an ampere sensor. The sensor is located directly on the starter motor.

Display range: -50 - +100 A.

For a status under -50 A or above +100 A, -HI- is shown on the display.
Status warning increasing: -50 - 0 A.
Status warning decreasing: -4 - -50 A.
The warning only takes place when the warning status has been active for 30 s. and the engine speed has been above
800 rpm. (Applies from part no. 8158100/8158101. In previous versions, the warning is suppressed for low engine
loads.)
Status danger: none.

Status warning increasing temperature: -5 - +4C.
Status warning decreasing temperature: +3 - -6C.
Status danger: none.

Fuel quantity

Shows the fuel quantity in percent or litre of the tank volume via the fuel level sensor. The sensor is located in the fuel
tank. Selection of the unit can be carried out in conjunction with programming of the tank volume, see Manual
