Campus Improvement Plan 2
When looking at 2015-2016 TAPR (Texas Academic Performance Report) I noticed that
the percentage of grade and subjects were lower in comparison to schools in the district and
state. I have worked at my school for three years now and in those three years I have seen the
students percentage increase and decrease amongst the grades and subjects.
The items that I would like to discuss in the Campus Improvement Plan would be Grade

Science has always been a struggle due to the fact that the students do not fully see the extent of
the material until 5th grade. Every year prior, the focus is mainly on reading and mathematics. So
when students finally see it then are quickly expecting to perform well. These expectations are
As stated before, I feel that the demographics of my school plays a big part in the

When reviewing the information in the TAPR, I believe that it is important to understand
the numbers and what it means for the school. Three years ago HISD wanted to close down my
school, the community and faculty fought to keep it open. The numbers showed how well the
students did academically and all the resources that were being used to see that the students
succeed. My school has made huge strides to see that it remains open for years to come.
