Team Representative: Each team must specify their Team Representative (Leader) at the time of registration on the website/on spot. All important communications between Techfest and the registered teams will be done through their Team Representative. The Team Representatives must submit valid contact details (phone no., email ID etc.) at the time of registration. #Dimensions and Fabrications 1. The machine should fit in a box of dimension 700mm x550mm x 400 mm (l x b x h) at any given point. The external device used to control the machine is not included in the size constraint. 2. General description: The event consists of three rounds. In the first round the participants need to write a marketing strategy for a given product, the time duration for this round is 30 mins. In the second round the participants must advertise the product in any fashion using their own creativity. Time allocated for each of the group is 2 mins. In the third round the participants will be needed to mock-sale their product. A classroom with projector facility is required for all the three events.

General description:
"Dont raise your voice, improve your argument" desmond tutu. Rules! One member of the team to speak for the motion and the other to speak against it. Each member will get 3+1 mins to present his or her views. A bell would be rung after 3 mins thereby warning the participant to wind up his speech. A total time of 4 mins will be given for the rebuttal and we permit counter questioning. However a minimum of 3 questions must be raised by the interjections .failing which the speaker would be rewarded full marks for the allotted rebuttal. Care should be taken to see that the questions asked is related to the speech of the speaker and not of prior knowledge. You are allowed to carry a chit of paper with you to the podium .however simply reading would lead to negative marking. The content of the speech should be original and not copied. If the speech is found to be copied from somewhere the team is liable to be expelled. Scores of both the team members will be taken into account to declare the winners The decision of the judges will be final. The criteria for adjudication includes: Matter -includes all the substantial factual information that relates the issues. Manner - refers to the presentation and delivery style of a speech.

General description:

Round 1: Written test

It consists of 2 parts: 1. The questions will be objective type or need to be answered in a word/sentence. It will be based on automotive technology, starting from basics to the present day technology. 2. Parts identification: Each team has to identify the automobile parts and has to state its functions. Based on cutoff there will be elimination.

Round 2: Elimination round

Here numbers will be assigned to some topics related to automotive technology, the team has to choose the numbers and based on the topic assigned to that number questions will be asked. The top 4 teams with highest score will be selected for final round. In case of tie between teams, the tied teams will be once again given a chance to play 2nd round.

Round 3: Final round

It consists of 2 parts: 1. The questions will be asked orally to each team and each team will get some points for the right answers. After completion of every cycle, points of each team will be calculated and the team with least points will be eliminated. This cycle will be repeated until any 2 teams out of 4 gets eliminated. 2. This will be a buzzer round. Certain number of questions will be asked, any of the two teams may answer the question by pressing the buzzer. Suppose the team dont answer the question after pressing the buzzer in a specified time or given wrong answers then there will be negative marking and the question will be passed on to the next team. General description:
This event is based on recycle concept Round 1: Aptitude test based on recycle concept , and then teams are short listed Round 2: separation of fault (unwanted) electrical and electronic components from useful components, within in the provide time (5 min) by using millimetre. Results of this round is selected based on team who had maximum separated unwanted (fault) and useful components. Round 3: The teams selected for the 3rd round are provided with the fault (unwanted) circuit board and the wants to identity the useful components from the circuit board, and they want to use such useful components to design (make) an useful circuit. And if they any more basic components are provided such as resistors (max5), LED (max 5) and connecting wires and by using all these they want make useful component on provided dotted circuit board. The electrical equipment provided for this round are soldering gun and multimeter.
