Matt Patches is a veteran entertainment journalist with over 15 years of experience writing movie reviews, recapping TV, interviewing actors, and exploring pop culture through feature writing. He was formerly an editor at Esquire and Thrillist, and his work has appeared in publications like New York magazine’s Vulture, Grantland, Vanity Fair, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter. His movie podcast Fighting in the War Room has been running nearly as long as he’s covered film. While he has plenty to say about Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and the bottomless well of Netflix, his true loves are Tron; Murder, She Wrote; the Bone comic series; and Albert Camus’ The Stranger. Basically, he’ll watch pretty much anything and have something to say about it.
