Timothy Michael Dolan (born February 6, 1950) is an American Catholic prelate who has served as Archbishop of New York since 2009. Dolan served as the president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) from 2010 to 2013 and was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2012. Dolan is seen as representing conservative values and has a charismatic media personality. He previously served as rector of the Pontifical North American College in Rome from 1994 to 2001, as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Louis from 2001 to 2002, and as Archbishop of Milwaukee from 2002 to 2009.
