March has been another hugely busy month in the region's courts, with more than 30 criminals put behind bars.
Among them includes a group of fraudsters who duped elderly people out of more than £1m, dangerous drivers who led police on wild chases, and a drugs gang who used catapults and drones to drop their deliveries into the county's prisons.
Here is a round-up of all the criminals banged up in March.

Dean Green-Lynch
Dean Green-Lynch (Image: Lancashire Police) Prolific shoplifter Dean Green-Lynch continued to steal from shops despite his criminal behaviour order, resulting in him receiving a 24-week prison sentence.
The 33-year-old was also ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge upon his release.

Zohaib Khan

Zohaib Khan was jailed for three years and four months after robbing a shop while armed with a knife.
Khan, of Holly Street, Nelson, stole £275 worth of cigarettes from the shop in Barkerhouse Road, Nelson.

Michael Mullen

Oswaldtwistle man Michael Mullen was jailed for 26 weeks after he slapped and punched his ex partner.
Mullen, of Trinity Street, assaulted her after he refused to leave her house during an argument.

Six members of a fraud gang were jailed after duping elderly victims from across the country out of more than £1m from their fake call centre base in Blackburn.
They were jailed for a combined 25 years at Preston Crown Court.

Dylan Culshaw

Violent thug Dylan Culshaw was jailed for 10 years after kicking a man in the head while he lay on the floor.
Culshaw, of Warner Street, Accrington, left his victim with a fractured skull, a bleed on the brain, five broken ribs, and a broken nose.

Thomas Ward

A man who committed two offences of dangerous driving in different parts of the country was jailed for 17 months.
Thomas Ward, formerly of Higher Antley Street, Accrington, was also given a two-and-a-half-year driving ban.

Thomas Howard

Thomas Howard, of Chapel Street, Brierfield, was jailed for 32 weeks for a course of dangerous driving.
Howard led police on a chase through Rossendale in a Mercedes Sprinter van before getting stuck at a narrow bridge in Ramsbottom.

Riley Whitfield

A Burnley shoplifter who appeared in court on his 20th birthday was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.
Riley Whitfield committed 28 offences of shop theft in under three months and during one of them assaulted a member of staff who challenged him.

Arron Hanson

Arron Hanson was jailed for four years and five months at Burnley Crown Court for a violent attack with a shovel.
Hanson, of Roughlee Grove, Burnley, was also found to be in possession of a large Samurai sword when his property was searched by police.

Umar Farooq

A drug dealer led police on a chase through Blackburn after he was spotted performing a deal.
Umar Farooq, of Moorfield Avenue, Ramsgreave, also led police in North Wales on a separate chase down the A55 while he was under the influence of drugs.

Liam Taylor

A paedophile teacher used AI to make images of students into pornography.
Liam Taylor, of Hindle Street, Darwen, committed the offences while he was working in the Isle of Man, but he taught for a term at The Hollins School in Accrington having previously committed these offences.
He was sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery in Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man.

Operation Harrogate
Fourteen people were sentenced as part of Lancashire Police's Operation Harrogate (Image: Lancashire Police)
Fourteen members of an organised crime group who used catapults and drones to drop drugs into HMP Preston and HMP Lancaster Farms were jailed for more than 50 years.
The gang, who were investigated under Lancashire Police's Operation Harrogate, included a prison nurse who snuck drugs and SIM cards into her place of work in her shoes, having hollowed out the soles.

Daniel Webster
Webster was jailed at Preston Crown Court (Image: Anthony Moss) Daniel Webster was jailed for seven years and eight months for raping a woman.
Webster, of Parkinson Street, Burnley, was also sentenced for the attempted rape and sexual assault of the same woman.

Axis Robertson

Prolific shoplifter Axis Robertson was jailed for one year and given a criminal behaviour order barring him from 14 shops across Pendle.
Robertson, of no fixed address, cannot enter the following Colne stores: Sainsburys, North Valley Road, TK MAXX, North Valley Road, LIDL, North Valley Road, Pets At Home, Corporation Street Retail Park, ASDA, Corporation Street Retail Park, DFS, Corporation Street Retail Park, Poundland, Corporation Street Retail Park and B&M, Corporation Street Retail Park.

Vaughan Sixx

Oswaldtwistle man Vaughan Sixx was jailed for three years after he blackmailed his former friend over his £15,000 raffle winnings.
Sixx, of Cross Street, was given more than £3,000 by the friend after he made various threats to him and his family.

Anthony Horsham
Blackburn Magistrates' Court (Image: Anthony Moss) A drunk Blackburn man caused damage to his mum's home as she hid in the bathroom.
Anthony Horsham, of Hollin Bridge Street, was jailed for eight weeks and pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order.

Christopher Smith
Christopher Smith (Image: Lancashire Police)A paedophile wept in the dock as he was given a 10-year sentence for sexual communication with a child and engaging in sexual activity with a child.
Christopher Smith, of Douglas Place, Blackburn, believed he was talking to girls aged 13 and 14 online, though they turned out to be decoys.
He also engaged in sexual activity with a real child when she was around 12 or 13 years old.

Audrey Hamid-Taha, Yasin Hamid-Taha and Javed Iqbal
L-R: Audrey Hamid-Taha, Yasin Hamid-Taha, Javed Iqbal (Image: Lancashire Police) A woman and two men were jailed for a combined 70 years for the exploitation, rape, and abuse of three children in Burnley.
Audrey Hamid-Taha was sentenced to 28 years in prison, while Yasin Hamid-Taha and Javed Iqbal were sentenced to 21 years each.
