Nimona (2023)
Big fan on the style
The style of this movie is capturing and beautiful to watch. With smooth, seamless movement and she is expressions. Saying this show was very animated is an understatement. As each character talks and expresses themselves, you can see the life pouring out of every interaction. The use of colors helps drive home how different Nimona is from everyone else as she tries to blind and change shapes, a bit of pink shining through, or her raw personality.
Nimona is a rollercoaster of a movie and showing how the ones you love the most and hold dear can hurt you the most. The story telling is amazing as we follow the main character being betrayed by everyone around him. Nimona is a 10/10 for me great fun for the whole family and isn't afraid of show some action and slapstick fun through out the movie to keep the energy high to the end.
Twelve Forever (2019)
This show was a masterpiece.
With one season, this show was able to show how the main character was feeling and did it in a logical way. Even emotions got high in the show, the ability to not shy away from growing up being a human being. If that is growing pains to emotional strains or social anxiety, this show was able to capture tones that would be uncomfortable because, in the real world, it is uncomfortable to grow up. Understanding that she won't be twelve forever is a complex concept to grasp, and this show encapsulates that fear and uneasiness in this show's way through the main character's naivety and unwillingness to go with time. We are given glimpses of what endless will do to people who stay and provide a fantastic mystery about the show and the modest cost of running from your problems as well as what it will take to face and fix them. In 25 episodes, this family-friendly has a lot for all ages and no point disappointments except that there isn't more.
Dragons: The Nine Realms (2021)
Not good but not the worst
This 6 part show isn't a solid stand-alone series the plot, animation, background story, ending, motive, setup, and delivery is jarring and poorly done. This diverse cast is the most substantial part of the show, and it's easy to follow along with the story are the best parts of the show. (The motive of Tom, the lead, is dumb and against the people of his new town and the dragons he kills more than he protects. Just to keep the dragons a secret.
