The Pledge (2001)
Pretty Disgusting Red-face Setup
The only good thing about a descendant of a Spaniard playing a ultra-low IQ, sex offender, Native American is that he is quickly killed off after stealing a cops pistol and blowing his own brains out, along with a tooth that Nickolson digs out a the wall painted in brains and blood.
The only other option for dealing with such characters existing in the minds of writers like the Swiss Durrenmatt and haphazard director, Sean Penn, would be to kill of the concept before it makes it into the final cut.
Looper (2012)
Writer Gravely Misunderstands Time Travel
A new universe would branch off With the jump and it would be impossible to interact with another branch of universe. Do you like cones was simply never cross each other's path again.
Dumb movie.
Inception (2010)
What About It?
This film is overrated. Besides being accompanied by a score determined to set you to sleep there's really no filmmaking here that sets it above the rest.
The plot is very interesting and, for the most part, well conceived. However, the characters do too much talking simply explaining to the audience what the meaning of their actions are. Why assume the audience is inept?
The basis of the plot itself is where film most earns its grade. This is truly a unique idea for the screen. Unfortunately, it was denigrated by the unnecessary dumbing down of the story and the unimpressive acting of the cast.
No matter what the subject of a movie, to end it with the question of whether it was all a dream or not is not clever.
Last Call with Carson Daly (2002)
Worst Late Night Show Ever
I don't think I've ever gave something a 1/10 rating, but this one easily gets the denomination. I find it hard just to sit through one of his jokes. It's not just that the jokes are so bad, but combine that with the fact that Carson Daily has zero charisma, can't set up or finish a punchline, and you've got a late night comedy recipe that will really turn your stomach.
I have watched the show, never in its entirety, but many times still. It just creeps up on me after Conan. I usually watch a minute or two just to see if Carson daily is still the worst talk show host ever.
Actually if you ever do see him interviewing a guest, it's just that, an interview. I feel so sorry every time he has a guest on and their confused smiles try to mask their body language that's screaming, "get me the hell away from this freak!" I do recommend watching the show, not for a laugh, but to ponder, how he got on the air and what he's still doing there. Watch as much as you can, I think you will find its complete awkwardness...interesting.
