Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024)
I can see why the original writers left
How does Aang make it through the entire season and never even attempted to learn how to wate-rbend??....I thought the series started off really well. The costumes were designed quite poorly, they looked cosplay-ish and even then they're deep in battle they never even seem to get dirty. The animals were designed extremely well and made the series a bit more bearable. The acting wasn't terrible but the over-acting worsened as the series went on and by the end seemed soap opera-ish. In the first few episodes they made minor changes to the storyline, which is expected but half way through they take it entirely too far and started forcing different stories together and started making abilities that are supposed to be unique and special available to every character. They also made Aang seem lazy. He didn't even try to learn waterbending because he thinks one of the past avatars would take over and do it for him. 1/3 of the series is over and Aang is just as untrained as he was 100 years ago. I hope they do better next time around.
Echo (2023)
Great Show- I don't understand the low score
I really enjoyed this show much more than I thought I would. She's a well rounded character and this was a great origin story. As an anime fan I didnt mind the subtitles but I honestly would be surprised if people got tired of reading and stopped paying attention to the story. The potential for expansion into the daredevil storyline is awesome and there is still a lot they can do with Fisk as well. The depiction of Native Americans was also really cool. The only part where it lost me was the very very end. I thought the final battle + what she did with Fisk was very rushed. They could've made it be10-15 minutes longer and the fight sequences more like they were in the earlier episodes and it would've been close to perfect. But overall a very good story and character. WATCH FOR YOURSELVES!!
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
Straight garbage
The fact that this has a higher score than the resident evil series is laughable. The series wasn't great but at least it had decent actors and even though the graphics were bad, this movie somehow manages to have even worse graphics. Everything about this is a pure trash.
Resident Evil (2022)
No a masterpiece but definitely not rated accurately
At worst it's a solid 5.a lot of these bad ratings are from people who saw some of the graphics and just stopped watch. Some of the graphics aren't great but towards the end it got a little better. I wish they made the main character more of a bass but I like the storyline overall. Definitely watch with an openned mind.
Crimes of the Future (2022)
Dull and lack luster... a lot of missed potential
This is a cool concept but it was poorly executed and the story was not told very well. The visuals weren't as great as it was advertised and then the movie just suddenly ends without anything worth while happening. Overall it left me questioning whether this whole movie even needed to be made...the concept will draw you in but there is nothing that really holds your attention.
The Education of Fredrick Fitzell (2020)
Very Deep Mind bender
This is one that you have to put you're phone down and really pay attention otherwise you will be another person giving a bad rating to something that doesn't deserve it. This movie will definitely confuse you but if you stick through to the end you'll definitely catch on to what's happening. It's one that will will leave you thinking and definitely make you question some of your choices, especially if you partake in similar activities. Don't pay attention to the reviews! This is one to watch and and make a judgement on your own.
Master (2022)
Good, but could have been MORE
5.6*
I like the whole perspective it took on racism but there was something lacking. It's like it kept getting to this point where there the suspense is high and then nothing happens. It continuously gave this uneasy feeling that you get when watching a horror film but never delves deep enough into the story to have a true feeling of horror. A lot of the story could've been elaborated on. The writers definitely had a message they wanted to express but most of the meaning is buried somewhere outside of this film. Regina Hall and Zoe Renee were excellent though.
PS.... As with all film about racism, yt people will try to drive the score down way more than it should be (just as they did with candyman) so watch and form your own opinions.
Seuwiteuhom (2020)
The is no way this is a 7+. Has to be fake review
Everything about this is awful. The graphics, the storyline, the terrible acting.....don't waste your time. I really hope they make a second season. A couple of the better actors definitely had their potential wasted on this.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Bland. Should've been animated, at best
There is literally nothing original about this movie with exception of it having the 2 previous Spider-Men. Literally every major scene is a copy of the previous movies. I always thought Tom Holland couldn't hold his own and the movie would've tanked without the go of the previous Spider-Men..this movie proves it and also drags down every villain and hero portrayed. There were so many plot holesIt was very poorly written.
Why would Dr. Strange so easily agree to Peter's request when he was so against it the previous movies??and something that could affect the timeline so significant for some odd reason.
They ended the movie with Peter being left COMPLETELY alone. Literally no family...no friends...and literally wiped from everyone's memory.....
They made the scene where MJ is falling and then caught by Andrew Spider-Man so bland. It ended so abruptly. It like even if she had fallen, she would've gotten a mild concussion, at best.
The humor was weak.
Why does Jamie Fox's character have a completely different personality? Its like they couldn't find his wig and was like "yeah just be cool instead".
Why would sandman want to fight along side the green goblin even though he remembers Peter and only fought him to get help for his daughter?
Its like the writers knew Tobey & Andrew were going to be in there said, "yeah we don't really have to work for this one". At best, this should've been an animated movie.
Chaos Walking (2021)
I enjoyed it...I don't understand the super poor reviews
Most people seem to not like it because the plot was a bit confusing but if you really py attention you should be able to easily follow. It wasn't the most exciting climax but it's a great take on the whole landing on another planet plot. It wasn't the cliche aliens vs human beings... Forget these "critics" who can't follow a slight complex plot and watch it for yourself!
Shadow and Bone (2021)
A bit overrated and too much dark screen
The storyline could have been a lot more clear but what really annoyed me was the cinematography and videography .....if you are not watching in a pitch black room, you will miss like 80% of the movie. Literally all you see is a black screen and a bunch of screeching. You can also tell they didn't have great animators and choreographers. The ending was very anticlimactic as well. Great story but It could have been executed so much better.
Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV (2016)
REMARKABLE ANIMATION
WOW....just wow. How has this movie been out so long and I haven't heard about it???The animation is freaking amazing for something that was done in 2016. The whole dead eye thing that you see in most animations is not even noticeable. The fight scenes are immaculate and the storyline was pretty clean up until the end scene where it go slightly confusing with the appearance of the giant monsters.
Venom (2018)
Hate is an understatement
This movie was so WEAK. Even some of the worst animated marvel movies are better than this. The acting was EH! The animation was lacluster and similar to that of "Spawn", which was created in 1998. The story line was BLEH. ...just terrible...
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
A big 'EH' & weak premise
YOURE BETTER OFF WATCHING ONE OF THE ANIMATED MOVIES. This movie was very lackluster and that's me being generous .... i wouldn't go as far as giving it a 1/10 but I definitely understand where the disappointments are coming from. The entire premise was WEAK and the entire choreography seemed like it was done in the 80s (maybe it was intentional to pay homage to the old Wonder Woman but was definitely a terrible idea as the cinematography and sets came off very cheap). The "villains" weren't worth 2 and a half hours and definitely won't be remembered. The storyline was horribly cliche and played out. This is definitely not a good look for DC. Very disappointed. They should start getting true fans to help create these movies instead of people who saw one animated movie and think they can bring them to life all of a sudden and are too focused on appealing to a wide audience.
Dave (2020)
HILARIOUS AND NEW
This show is hilarious and raunchy!! A lot of shows try to be raunchy but just end up doing stupid atuff that's been done a million times. This show has a new level of raunchy hilarity! I dig it!
