Koreanwood style
When Korea turns to be Hollywood. Not good for korean style fans ,Script and plot like we saw a lot in hollywood films. The production can compare with hollywood .They set the story, but leave the conclusion. Give 5 for production team

Ha Jung-woo is very handsome, but, I'm sorry, this movie was really boring.
With enough booze, you'll enjoy this.

We watch Korean movies to AVOID American garbage!
Koreans' infatuation with all things American reminds me of the same phenomenon among Europeans during the past 20 years. And now there's a McDonalds everywhere, everything is english and every city looks the same. Don't make the same mistake Korea. Stick to your own style.
This movie is pure wannbe Hollywood trash with corny dialogue that has infantile American political messages shoehorned into it in a ridiculously stupid way.
Don't waste your time, STAY AWAY!

So many negative reviews, it's unfair.
OK, the plot itself is not that great. But this is a decent action/thriller movie worth watching. Apart from the first 20 minutes there's literally no time to catch a breath. Something happens all the time: betrayal, new obstacles to overcome, new enemies to fight, new conditions, new acquired & old friends to protect, etc.
If you're a fan of action & thriller genre, I'd say don't miss this movie. The story here is just to torture the main characters even more... I's a classy movie in it's own way.

Korean Neo-Noir With Dark Thrills
It's election day in the US in 2024, and the President is going to lose because of Korean policy missteps.CIA agent Jennifer Ehle has a plan to have Jung-Woo Ha disrupt peace talks between North and South Korea. This will give the President an excuse to destroy North Korea's nuclear arsenal and take over the nation, boosting his popularity. Then, however, the leader of North Korea is seen, and the mission evolves rapidly, again and again in an atmosphere of paranoia and realpolitik.
There's a real neo-noir edge to the movie. All the mercenaries are tired and want to go home, but they need one last score. The authorities are beyond corrupt; the plans break so rapidly in the face of events that there's no time to modify them, only react, and there are three directors of photography, each covering a different front with a moving camera, fit to drive the audience up the wall. Every time I thought the story was about to move ahead, something else would happen to reset my expectations of utter disaster. If you're looking for a dark thriller, this one certainly fits the bill.

action packed thriller
Who is giving this good ratings?
'Take Point' is one of those movies written by someone who's knowledge of the military and Intel communities was taken from comic books. The only thing worse then the "action" is the dialog .
What happened to Korean movies? They used to be good.

FPS n high tech military gadgets
It's gonna hurt badly to those who ain't used to FPS angles. For gamers point of view, is awesome 👍. Realism is there. U can feel the impact of the actions in the movie. Story line is pretty complex but it's all excitement all the way. Overall not bad 👍

Even dumpster
Refuses such garbage. In one scene, before the team starts the full scale assault, the team leader chats with his pregnant wife on the PHONE. Really? How professional!

Found Take Point Footage
An interesting experiment ... not just the mission in the movie, but the approach in making this and how it is shot. There are many moments that will make some people dizzy (shaky cam and all that), but all serve the purpose of the movie and the story. Quite intriguing while anything but flawless. Good actors and really good stunts and action set pieces.
I have seen better Korean action movies for sure. But that does not make this one a bad one. Yes it is weird that it is mostly in English (I almost didn't believe it when I read about it), but it sort of works. The pace is also important which does not let you breathe enough to think about any mistakes or holes in the story. The characters are who they are and they make moral decisions that seem to be the best choice at that very moment ... between saving lives, sacrificing lives and putting someone in danger to complete a mission ... there are many themes that you may pick up on or not ... but even if not you can have fun with the action part of it all.

B-movie with horrible dialogue rife with cliches
Disclosure: I only made it to the first shootout. I couldn't take it anymore.
I usually don't give 2 star ratings, but when I do...
Look. Given the current sorry state of the American politics, some parts of the premise are not as outlandish, sadly. I also understand that with the cultural differences, Korean filmmakers may not always be able to depict the Americans very accurately (even though Okja, The Host, Snowpiercer had zero issues there... but fine).
But the dialogue! OMG, the dialogue!!! Did they hire Tommy Wiseau as an advisor on all things American?
The plot stops making sense when the handler agrees to disobey the orders and split the reward. With a bunch of illegal aliens. While in a room full of government employees. (Who will not get that reward.)
Apparently, the Mexican guy is participating in an elite operation with global geopolitical consequences so that he can stay in the US (or not?) and buy a farm in Mexico.
The American hacker (?) is a former security guard who wanted to help because he saw a woman dying on the street.
Yikes. Blech.

A bliss full ending.
A perfect example of humanity .its ok film is not that much hyped but ending with same phenomenon set audiences with watery eyes .some thing good at the end.
Exactly shows actuality of some political incident and over aggration .
Some negative point with the ridiculos finish of some good characters with bad insists .some how just cutted star for these .
I think it needs a advance background because idea was that type recharged with hollywood types.
Some devloping option also need to like some strong action to treachery and needs to dragged and clearified .
At last also need a clear vision of ending with hero .It did not meet and thinked .
Thank you.

A 5 year old is better behind the camera, and a 5th grader can write a better screenplay
I get it that Byung-woo Kim is a newbie writer and director, but this film has to be the worst camera work I have ever seen. Was a 95 year old with arthritis holding on to the camera? A 5 year old could've done a better job with a 1990's camcorder. I got dizzy and a migraine watching this film.
And then the ridiculous 2+ hours of dragged out and pointless scenes, that even with the decent pacing, felt like 3 hours. This story should have been a maximum of 20-30 mins. The dumb cliched scenes of drinking and constant smoking to look cool - during a mission. A 5th grader could've written a better screenplay. The story adapted from the novel by Sang-yeon Park was great, but sadly, it was poorly executed by the director with its many plot and technical issues.
Most of the dialogue was idiotic and illegible, especially from Jung-woo Ha. His English is terrible and I'd rather he spoke Korean with sub-titles throughout the entire film. None of the actors were convincing in their roles, except for maybe Agent Mackenzie and Dr. Yoon.
The only thing this film had going for it were the hi-tech sets, S/VFX, the constant action (of which most of it was was captured poorly by the director) and the (finally watchable and entertaining) last 10 minutes of the film.
So it's a generous 5/10 from me.

Bad Movie
Bad movie to watch with bad storyline. The actor is very good but it all waste.
Call of Duty - Korean Warfare?
I just watched this on Netflix. DIdn't expect to be watching a Call of Duty Video game style cut scene haha! The director and cienamtographers have been playing too much video games. The shots are shaky and makes you feel naseous. I had to pause this a couple of times to take a break. I feel sorry for the VFX / Rotoscope artists having to work with this footage in post.
I would recommend to watch this once if you are into futuristic military video games. Other than that nothing special.
