a very well filmed theater-play
In the low countries a theater-group called "Wunderbaum" (= German for 'magic tree') works well to earn itself a solid reputation of quality.
Consisting of three actresses and two actors, Dutch as well as Belgian-Flemish, 'Wunderbaum's repertoire deals a lot with the less fortunate in our society. The group frequently uses current social issues to makes good plays.
'Maybe Sweden' is such a play. However, there is a difference with 'Wunderbaum's other plays: this one is put on film. Not a great commercial success, I understand, but certainly a film that entertains.
I hardly can tell anymore about 'Maybe Sweden' without revealing its plot. So I'd like to point out that 'Maybe Sweden' makes a seldom opportunity to have a true piece of theater in your living room.
