Asked about this film, director Lamberto Bava said "It's an operation that anyone who has seen it recognizes that it's my film, even if there's Serena Grandi who, poor girl, tried her best, I have to say. Today I can tell you that it was a rather wrong operation, that it would have been better if I hadn't done it. In the sense that I didn't come out badly, but she did, unfortunately for her, because Serena after that and the film she did now has to go back to show her ass because if not... It's clear that if she doesn't show her ass, no one will see her! Because as an actress no one believes it, no one wants to believe it."
Shooting began on 15th September 1986.
In the featurette "Stories from the Bathtub" found on the Code Red bluray release actor Eastman referred to this film's director Lamberto Bava as a "half man" compared to his father Mario (Eastman had worked with Mario on RABID DOGS), Grandi a pitiful actress and annoying (he had signed to this film when Edwige Fenech was slated for the lead). Eastman also expressed dislike for Martino because of him having changed his script for THE GREAT ALLIGATOR. Eastman did have kind words about Brandon and Nicolodi but admited that much of his work in this film was atrocious.
A Video Nasties star, George Eastman, stars in this film.
