Maxwell White is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound designer, sound and music editor and re-recording mixer.
He got his start in the film world writing two songs for the soundtrack of Norwegian thriller "HEVN" by director Kjersti Steinsbø. Since then Max has worked as a session musician on scores for TV and Film such as Lioness (Paramount+), Frontier (Netflix), V-Wars (Netflix) and Aftermath (Syfy). He has licensed and performed on songs featured in series and films such as "American Gods" (Amazon Prime) and "Trigger Point" featuring Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan).
In addition to his session work, Max fronts the psychedelic punk band Harmony on Mars. He also works as a composer, sound designer, music editor and has supervised small teams to complete sound editorial, primarily working with up and coming directors, such as actress Melanie Field (Heathers, You) and director/assistant director Menelik King (Priscilla, Thanksgiving) on short film projects. Notable projects he has sound designed/sound supervised and contributed original music to include "Scum of The Earth" by directors Dylan Stav (Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War) and Will Cheston, which won Best Horror Film at the 2024 Toronto Shorts Festival, and "Patrik" by director Menelik King which features rapper Patrik Kabongo that won Best Animated Film at the Canadian Black Screen Awards.
Max has also trained alongside well known music editors and sound designers on "From" (Paramount+/MGM) with Adam Stein (The VVitch) and Kevin Banks (Nightmare Alley) and on "Thai Cave Rescue" (Netflix) with Banks.
Mr. White is currently sound designing, composing the score, music editing and writing for the soundtrack along with Simon Wilcox (Carly Rae Jepsen, Nick Jonas), to Bell Fibe TV1 limited series "Disrepair" featuring Canadian Screen Award winner Samora Smallwood (Star Trek: Discovery, The Expanse), John Reardon (Hudson & Rex, White Chicks), Tommy James Murphy (Last Resort) & Matthew Sauvé (One Night Stand). He is also composing, sound designing and music editing, director Khizer Khani's debut feature, "Midnight Dreamers", also featuring Smallwood, Sauvé and Murphy.
