Douglas Johnson is a Vice President at Viacom Music and Entertainment Group. He oversees the short form production teams for Comedy Central, VH1, Vh1 Classics, Palladia, Spike, VH1, MTV, MTV2, and Logo.
He is chiefly responsible for leading and developing production team, physically producing and working with the various Brand Creative teams, marketing, and various groups, as well as outside production companies to produce some of the most dynamic, award winning, promos, branded content, short form content, and image campaigns.
In addition to his short form responsibilities, Johnson has jumped into long form territory for Comedy Central covering "Adam Devine's House Party Seasons 1-2, "Key & Peele Super bowl Special 2015", "John Oliver's' New York Stand-Up Show Season 1-3" and "COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up: The Bonnaroo Experience" to name a few.
Prior to joining COMEDY CENTRAL, Douglas founded Mega Productions, which produced content for dozens of media clients. He was also co-owner of Brass Knuckles - an LA based commercial editorial boutique.
Douglas got his start in the entertainment industry by producing and production managing commercials and music videos.
A native of Northern California, Douglas received a B.F.A in Television and Film from New York University. He is a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, providing patients and their families with air transportation to needed critical health care facilities in and around the Northeast.
