O'Donnell gets pilot duty on 'Westerbergs'
Chris O'Donnell is in negotiations to star in the CBS comedy pilot The Amazing Westerbergs. The Sony Pictures TV/CBS Prods. project, from writers/executive producers Jay Scherick and David Ronn, chronicles the lives of two twentysomething brothers in Manhattan who were raised to think they could accomplish anything but are confronting the reality that finding success will be harder than they thought. O'Donnell will play one of the brothers. The casting stems from the actor's talent and development deal with CBS. O'Donnell recently did a multiepisode arc on The Practice, David E. Kelley's legal drama for ABC. He next stars opposite Liam Neeson and Laura Linney in Fox Searchlight's Kinsey. The actor, whose credits also include such features as Vertical Limit and Batman & Robin, is repped by WMA, Untitled Entertainment and the law firm of Armstrong Hirsch Jackoway Tyerman & Wertheimer. In other pilot casting news, Mike Erwin (Hulk) has joined the WB Network's drama pilot The Robinsons: Lost in Space, playing Don West. And Matthew Long has been cast as Jack in the WB's pilot Jack & Bobby opposite Logan Lerman, who was cast as Bobby, and Christine Lahti, tapped to play their mom. Erwin, who has a talent deal with the network, is repped by the Gersh Agency.
