Def Jam Vendetta boasts a roster of more than 40 characters including 12 playable Def Jam artists: DMX, Method Man, Redman, Ludacris, Capone, N.O.R.E., Scarface, Ghostface Killah, Joe Budden, Keith Murray, WC and DJ Funkmaster Flex, and the game introduces Def Jam songstress Christina Milian as the "temptress" Angel.
The game features excellent, 60-frames-per-second animation, stylistic, highly detailed character models, and incredibly fast, smooth motion and character control. Placed in a fictional New York-style underground circuit, Def Jam Vendetta features 12 3D urban venues, each with animated crowds, rings, flashy lights, and slick hip-hop beats.
The Story mode enables you to open up numerous new characters, enables you to acquire girlfriends, to trade girlfriends, and to fight as girlfriends as you make your way to the top to face off with the bog boss, D-Mob. If you beat him, you'll earn back your former girlfriend, Angel. The game enables players to fight in other modes, too, such as "Survival," "Battle" and "Tutorial" modes. There are 18 new, exclusive and previously heard tracks from the featured artists.
Def Jam Vendetta is published by EA under the EA SPORTS BIG brand, developed by AKI, with creative production credits from EA Canada and Def Jam, and is rated "T" (Teen) by the ESRB. It is to be sold for an MSRP of $49.95.
