What do you get for a great friends 60th Birthday when he thinks he has all the latest football books.
This guy is also into his music so whats better to buy him than this book.
Apparently the Guiness book of hit singles isn't about any more so this was the 'substitute'
British Hit Singles was the best reference book for the music lover who want a bit more information about the tunes which hit the charts over the years. Fantastic choice - well worth the searching

good book but not quite what I was looking for.I want a book that has lists of the " pops" hit parade top twenty or more from mid fifties/sixties/seventies etc

Good encyclopedia of pop, though I found a lot of stuff missing which I felt
should have been included. Still, a very good buy for reference anyway.
This was previously the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles I believe, and
to be honest, I preferred the Guinness book, but I believe it is no longer
obtainable, so maybe Virgin have bought out the rights.

Great book. I love the artist from 80's and use it as a reference for buying more CDs for my collection.

I used to use the Guinness version of this which had more detail and information about the singers particularly the groups. It would be good if the names of players/singers were include and what instruments they played. I like detail and this book doesn't provide enough. Unfortunately the Guinness book is not now published, a great shame.

This book must have been a mammoth undertaking and I was hugely impressed by the vast amount of work which had clearly gone into producing it. It was very clearly laid out, making it easy to read. It is an enormous achievement. The item arrived in excellent condition.

Absolutely marvelous book, with all the information needed for the average browser.BUT, unfortunately there was a substantial number of pages missing in the original binding.I was very sad to return this super book as there were no replacements to be had at that time.
