- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 April 2013If you love the tv series then buy the books and read them in sequence, These for me were even better than the tv series as the humour was so well delivered on the page. A must not miss but dont read them out of sequence

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 June 2014Having read this book for the first time way back in 1999 i loved it each and every time i have read it so much so i have also bought all of the books on audible (audio books) so i can take the lazy way out and have them read to me. When i did a data inputting job in summer break from uni this book kept me laughing all day the jokes, plot twists and turns the whole character set up is amazing if there is ever to be a Red Dwarf film it should be based on this! Its that good, if u have not already hit the add to basket button do it NOW u will not regret it trust me.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 May 2010Sorry Lister but Rimmer does a WAY better job of turning the Red Dwarf world into spoken word. The story itself is fairly weak anyway but Craig Charles isn't a patch on Chris Barry when it comes to reading aloud.
The first 2 books are brilliant, both paper and audio but this falls short.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book
As a big fan of Red Dwarf, loved this book. Its a completely different story from any of the episodes or books and that was nice to see. Still the core heart of any Dwarf story, but went to places they didnt go before. Well done!
Got it shipped quick- great condition (as was described). Overall, all good!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great buy and a great read
I have been trying to get a copy of this book for a while now. If your a fan of the show only your in for a big suprise. It's well written and while a little off the beaten path of the show it does carry much of it in the book. Over all I was satisfied at the end and cried a little.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Read for Fans of the Show!
Doug Naylor's "Last Human" is the third "Red Dwarf" novel following "Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers" and "Better Than Life", both of which Naylor co-authored with his "Red Dwarf" co-creator Rob Grant. "Last Human" picks up right where "Better Than Life" left off, though it deviates far more from the original series than the preceding novels. In many respects, that's a good thing as the story is original and not a variation on a familiar plot. Naylor's portrayal of the characters he co-created features everything fans of the show want to see while also offering further science fiction hi-jinks and a satisfying conclusion to their journey. Though Rob Grant wrote a fourth book, titled "Backwards", that novel is an alternate sequel to "Better Than Life" rather than a continuation of "Last Human".
