Meet Suzanne and Jim
We’re glad you’re here! I’m Iowa’s independent candidate for U.S. Senate 2020 and will be on the ballot to offer Iowans a powerful, non-partisan voice in Washington. My partner, Jim Copeland and I, have spent our lives enjoying wonderful life experiences with great neighbors throughout the state. Our campaign strives to maintain a positive tone and focuses on better solutions and leadership for Iowans. Regardless of your political party affiliation (or if you feel that no political party adequately represents your views), I want to be your voice to demand more rational, fact-based and effective policies in Washington.
Here I offer my perspective and some proposals for what I plan to accomplish for you in the U.S. Senate, but I also want input from you! It is high time that Iowa is represented by a senator who listens to, and wholeheartedly supports all Iowans. We will move forward together on important issues by maintaining civil discourse, supporting policies based on substantiated facts (instead of political allegiance), and by carefully considering the implications and costs of the proposed solutions. Jim and I sincerely believe that Iowans and Americans deserve a more functional government, and that the division and stagnation perpetuated by our two party system can be defeated..
