Vancouver Web Fest 2017 Official Selections

VWF would like to thank all of the outstanding submissions from around the world. In 2017 we received submissions from 27 countries. The content was remarkable, and we sincerely enjoyed every submission. However, coming down to the final list of Offical Selections seems to become more difficult every year. After an incredibly difficult selection process, the Vancouver Web Fest 2017 Official Selections were:

And The 2017 VWF Winners Are...


VANCOUVER WEB FEST was very pleased to announce the 2017 Vancouver Web Fest winners. The 2017 Festival was a wonderful three days of panels, screenings, workshops, keynote speakers and of course parties. Attendees came from near and far. From across Canada, the United States, and around the world from as far away as Australia. This year we had incredible submissions from 27 countries. Judging was done by our 40 judges, from 13 different countries around the world, and the comment they made to us was how difficult it is becoming to judge these digital series as the quality of content increases in leaps and bounds. But without further ado, here were the 2017 winners across 28 categories.

Carter Mason Award for Excellence
This award is new to Vancouver Web Fest. It is a memorial award granted in honour of Carter Mason, who sadly passed away in 2016. Carter was a great champion of the web series community. He threw himself wholeheartedly into his endeavors and generously shared his time, experience and advise with many of us. We felt strongly that we wanted to honor his legacy wth an award in his name. This award will be granted yearly to an individual in this comunity who displays the same excellent, generous traits as Carter.
