In April 2010, it was announced that the Sugababes had begun recording the group's eighth studio album. On 5 June 2011 the Daily Mirror reported that the Sugababes had left their record label of ten years, Island Records, for a new three-album record deal with Sony Music's RCA Records. Their forthcoming single is called "Freedom", and is due for release on 25 September 2011.

"Criminal" is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. It is set to be released as the fourth single from her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. "Criminal" was written by Max Martin, Shellback, Tiffany Amber and Isaiah Limpin, while being produced by Martin and Shellback. She revealed that the song was set to be a single after the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. "Criminal" is a guitar-driven midtempo song, which incorporates a folk-style flute melody.


30 Aug: Florence And The Machine - What The Water Gave Me

During their North American tour, Florence and the Machine debuted a new song titled "What the Water Gave Me" at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California on 12 June 2011. On 23 August 2011, "What the Water Gave Me" was released on iTunes as the lead single from the band's second album, along with an accompanying video on their VEVO channel on YouTube. The album, which is yet to be titled, will be released on 7 November 2011.


29 Aug: Darren Hayes - Black Out The Sun

"Black Out the Sun" is the second international single by singer-songwriter Darren Hayes, from his upcoming fourth studio album “Secret Codes and Battleships.” It is set to be released on 2 October 2011. "Black Out the Sun" was co-written by Darren Hayes and Swedish writer and producer Carl Falk, who has previously worked with The Wanted and Nicole Scherzinger. The single was mixed by Robert Orton, who has previously worked with t.A.T.u., Lady Gaga and several others.

On 3 August 2011 in an interview with Digital Spy, Dynamite confirmed that she is working on her third studio album, and confirmed that the lead single "Neva Soft" (produced by Labrinth) would be released on 4 September. Her album is set to be released in 2012.

Why I Love You is the new single from "Watch the Throne", a collaborative studio album by American rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West, released on August 8, 2011. The song was produced by Mike Dean and Kanye West and features British R&B/pop artist Mr Hudson. The track contains samples from "I Love You So" as performed by Cassius.

Fool Like Me is a new single by American dance rock band Cobra Starship, taken from their fourth studio album “Night Shades,” which is being released through Fueled by Ramen and Decaydance Records on August 30, 2011. Still Life is the first single by British post-punk revival band The Horrors, taken from their third studio album, “Skying”, which was released on July 11th 2011 in the UK and on August 9th in the US on XL recordings. Two months prior to the album’s release the song “Still Life” was premiered on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show as his ‘Hottest Record in the World’ where it was played in its entirety. The single entered UK Singles Chart at #63.
