Slaves at Wave
We recently produced a series of spots for the Langara Electronic Music School. Written by Kevin Rathgeber at DDB, the spots gave new meaning to the mastery of one's instrument. V/O Sam Vincent did an amazing job as a slave driving master lording over his musical pions, the saxaphone, trombone and the violin. Check them out on our latest Radio Waves.

Now taking Bookings for foursomes.
Check out our new studio Driving Range with real artificial turf. Well be working on our swings all winter so, if there are any scripts out there that may need a golf ball being smacked, come on by and get in on the foley. No spikes, please.

Insert Punchline Here
Last Wednesday was our 5th annual comedy night. It was pretty much fantastic. Don't believe me? Well, I have photographic proof that it was.

JAMS! GIGS! SPANDEX!

That's right. Wave has decided to form an in-house band*. Fans can look forward to exciting conversations about "going on the road", groupies, sound check, all nighters and non-conformity. At the same time, we will remain well-versed on the topics of diaper changes, tuition, hair care, 9 o'clock bedtimes and "this zany weather we've been having".

*Sounds Like: Dave will play their first gig at the opening ceremony of the 2010 Olympics

Here at Wave, we love poker. There's nothing more rewarding than helping yourself to a pile of your co-worker's earnings to compliment your own. However, sometimes GambleGod likes to play "fairsies" and doles out a straight for everyone to play "sharesies" with. I HATE splitting the pot.

Wave Comedy Night 2006
Our annual comedy night was held at the Anza again last Thursday. Thousands of local producers, writers, art directors, actors and comedians attended, but there was also a shocking number of British people in the audience. As none of us here at Wave were born in the UK, we have no way of determining whether the accents were real or induced by free alcohol and a penchant for the spotlight.

Nouvelle Vague
If you've called Wave recently, you may have encountered some sultry female voices on the other end. Don't be alarmed. You haven't dialed the wrong number, nor has the studio been overthrown by vagrant voice actresses.
No, the winds of change have blown open the doors and brought in two lovely ladies to break up the testosterone levels at Wave.
Successfully infiltrating the "boys club" are Ali Wells and Jessica Butt, who have integrated marvelously, despite Craig Warrian's continued use of the girl's washroom.
Ali will be handling marketing, schmoozing, pitching and canoodling in an effort to fortify and expand our client roster.
Jessica looks forward to fiddling with switches and pitches to join the cast of skilled sound engineers here at Wave.
Labour relations may have demanded it, but everyone's pretty happy with it. Meet the ladies of Wave.
