Hi everyone,
Ok, so first off: I'm sorry. I'm sorry the front page of this website wasn't updated for awhile. Many of you may have thought that I went into hiding after the election (true) or that writing my new book killed me or drove me completely insane (not true; I hope). The truth, as usual, is kinda less exciting: I just never got around to it. Most people know the action is on the
messageboard anyway - so you should always head there first!
But enough sloth and inaction.
Nothing Feels Good is still selling well and infuriating some and my new book,
Miss Misery: A Novel, is not only done, it's coming out in January, 2006. I'm extremely proud of the book - it's nothing at all like NFG, but I think that anyone who liked that book will find something to enjoy in the new one. At least I hope so. Regardless, the time has come to get this website moving again. In the next few weeks/months look for lots of changes, frquent updates, a few bells and whistles, and a ton of information about
Miss Misery and the actual honest-to-goodness tour I'll be heading out on to promote it.
Changes abound all over the place, actually. For one, Im no longer living in Brooklyn. Well, I am just not for a year. Fate and a really wonderful one-year job for my girlfriend has taken me to the rather different environs of Boise, Idaho. Life here is good if a bit quiet. I have a backyard for the first time in my life, which is kind of nice though apparently this grass doesnt cut itself. If I have any fans here, yes the pasty guy in the Co-op is me. Hello! I recommend the fresh corn salad. And Barbaras Potato Chips. Good times!
While I'm exploring the heart of red-state America, keep an eye out for various scribblings by me in upcoming issues of
Spin,
Blender, and
ESPN and feel free to befriend me on Myspace (
www.myspace.com/andygreenwald) - that's another great resource for updates. And if you've written me an email in the last six months I must apologize for not getting back to you. Unforunately, I'm getting so many emails these days that I can't respond to all of them - in fact, I can barely respond to any of them. The best place to reach me is on the messageboard where I do my best to respond to each and everyone of you - plus lots of questions that get asked in emails are answered there in the aptly named
"Ask Andy a Question!" thread.
That's all for now. Thanks for not giving up on the site! You can pre-order
Miss Misery right here on Amazon. Enjoy the fall . . .
A.
