Musica oblectabilis[1] est genus musicae popularis et forma radiophonica, quae populo ab annis 1950 ad annos 1970 gratissima erat.[2] Quod genus ad mediocritatem musicae ex fontibus musicae levis et "big band" promptam refertur,[3] atque instrumentales usitatorum et trivialium carminum in phonodiscis taeniisque impressiones nec non versiones mutuatas selectarum cantilenarum rock populo gratarum amplectitur. Musicam ex aetate ante musicam rockicam maximam partem exprimebat, plerumque musicam ex annis 1940 et 1950. A forma musicae pulchrae[4] plerumque instrumentalis variis modis distinguebatur, inter quos erant certae proportiones cantuum, accommodationum instrumentalium, et temporum ad varias diei emissionum partes aptandas.
Musica auscultationis facilis cum musica abscedentiorum? (Muzak) et musica exedriorum? saepe confunditur, sed,quamquam populo in nonnullis locis grata erat, pro delectatione, non abscedentiis, destinabatur.
Inter subgenera ex auscultatione facili orta sunt chill-out music,[5] sunshine pop,[6] adult contemporary, space music, ambient music, exotica, musica exedriorum, et vaporwave.
