Review

Here the duo Rolf Løvland and Fionnuala Sherry play with the conventions of Celtic and neo-classical music, weaving in unexpected elements like Spanish guitars and Eastern European folk melodies as their muse dictates. It reveals an overall mood is weighty, heart-centered, and Secret Garden is providing a supportive background for personal reflection. The touching melancholia lifts some on tracks like the polyrhythmic intoxication of «Windancer» and «Escape», which tastes a bit of Gypsy caravans and circus performers run amok.[1]

Reception

The Allmusic reviewer Rovi awarded the album 4.5 stars.[1]
