V. T. }}</ref> During the history of the palace, the apartment have always been a part of the palace where the king or one of his close relatives has lived. The apartment is known for the ''Blue Drawing room'' where the engagements of King Carl XVI Gustaf and [[Queen Silvia of Sweden|Silvia Sommerlath]] in 1976, as well as [[Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden|Crown Princess Victoria]] and [[Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland|Daniel Westling]] in 2009, were declared.
