Jonathan Bruce
Jonathan Bruce is an evening anchor at ABC13 and grateful to be in Houston as a part of the city's No.1 news team.

Jonathan joined ABC13 in December 2021 as a digital anchor and began anchoring the 4 PM & 6:30 PM newscasts alongside Mayra Moreno in the fall of 2023. He has helped lead ABC13's coverage of major events in southeast Texas, from Hurricane Beryl's impact to Texas's immigration battle, along with news-making stories in the world of sports, tech and entertainment.

Prior to joining ABC13, Jonathan was a digital anchor at KKTV Channel 11 News in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he helped launch the digital "Breaking News Center." His path to the news desk began in sports as a reporter, radio host, writer and play-by-play announcer in Mississippi. In 2016, Jonathan founded a sports media and film company with his brother Henry, producing a host of successful shows and a regionally-televised documentary series. Working alongside his brother was a great reward and challenge!

Jonathan attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Tx. and earned a M.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. He is a native of Jackson, Miss. who grew up immersed in the culture of music, sports and storytelling in the Deep South.

He and his wife Grace have fallen in love with Houston and have two wonderful boys, Iverson & Campbell, both born in the Bayou City. Jonathan is an avid golfer and singer. When he's not on screen, you can likely find him at Memorial Park Golf Course, or enjoying Houston's incomparable food & culture with his family.
