Melissa Anne Smith was born on January 21, 1992 in Kingston, Ontario,
Canada. At the age of four, Melissa along with her parents and sister
moved to Sudbury, Ontario. She began performing in professional theatre
at the age of nine. Her first appearance in professional theatre was in
Sudbury Theatre Centre's production of "Pinocchio". She went on to
perform in various local theatre productions and festivals, being
presented with an award at the prestigious Sears Ontario Drama
Festival. In 2007, Melissa began to work on television and films, such
as "The Summit" and "Kick-Ass". Melissa has worked with many
accomplished actors such as Nicholas Cage (National Treasure: Book of
Secrets), Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music), Christopher
Mintz-Plasse (Superbad), Wendy Crewson (The Santa Claus), Mia Maestro
(Posiedon), Lyndsy Fonseca (Desperate Housewives) and Evan Peters (Phil
of the Future). She loves dance, gymnastics and plays various sports
such as basketball, badminton and softball.
