Abstract: The sugarcane spittlebug, Mahanarva fimbriolata (Hemiptera: Cercopidae), is considered the most important pest of sugarcane harvested without the burning of trash, or green cane, in Brazil.
Correlacoes entre fatores climaticos e a dinamica de producao de ovos diapausicos de duas especies de cigarrinhas-das-pastagens (Homoptera: Cercopidae).
In addition, specimens from Achilidae, Aphididae, Cercopidae, Derbidae, Membracidae, Nogodinidae and Psyllidae families were also identified and represented only 6.5% from the total number of hemipteran specimens in the study (Table 2).
The family Cercopidae has around 1,500 species that have been named and described but studies indicate that the group is still one of the most neglected and unexplored.
