This site exists to provide a consolidated location for status updates regarding Amtrak's Black Hawk train slated to start running between Chicago and Rockford in 2015. This site includes news updates, a preliminary route map, station information, links and other general information.

 

The Black Hawk train will provide an efficient, cost-effective, and hassle-free intermodal transit option for those traveling throughout northwest Illinois including Chicago, Elgin, Huntley, Belvidere, Rockford, and eventually Freeport, Galena, and Dubuque, Iowa.
