Novelist Peace, star trumpeter Rod Franks, tycoon and philanthropist Tomlinson and physicist Sir John Enderby will all become Honorary Doctors of the university (Hon DUniv).

IT WAS humbling to receive the honourary degree of Doctor of the University of Ulster (DUniv) earlier this week.

DUniv. at the university, bringing his total to four doctorates.

The brothers both received the degree of Doctor of the University (DUniv), in recognition of their excellence in the field of motorcycle racing and for services to charity.

Professor Mike Page, scientist and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Huddersfield University, is to be the first ever recipient of the new Doctor of the University honorary award (DUniv).

Darren Clarke, from Dungannon, Co Tyrone, was made a Doctor of the University (DUniv) by the University of Ulster for his services to Irish and international sport.
