AAWV President Captain Nelson Ynion earlier pushed flag-carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) and budget airline Cebu Pacific (Cebu Pac) to consider direct commercial flights due to a large Ilonggo population in Guam.

He disclosed that he was a financial planner and that AAWV, which he said had helped approve more than 10,000 claimants for benefits totaling $150 million dollars, was unaffiliated with the VA.
