دَنَا (danā) I (non-past يَدْنُو (yadnū), verbal noun دُنُوّ (dunuww) or دَنَاوَة (danāwa))

  1. to be near, be close
  2. to approach (مِن (min))
    لَا تَدْنُ مِنَ الْأَسَدِ فَيَأْكُلَكَ.
    tadnu mina l-ʔasadi fayaʔkulaka.
    Do not approach the lion lest he eat you.
  3. to bring near (بِ (bi) someone مِن (min))
