Convective Inhibition (CIN)
CIN
is a measure of the stability of the atmosphere and defines the
vertically integrated negative buoyancy of a rising parcel. It is a good indicator
of general stability, and convection tends to be less vigorous with higher values.
| CIN < 100 | Potential Instability. |
| CIN 100 to 200 | Marginally stable. |
| CIN 200 to 300 | Moderately stable. |
| CIN > 400 | Very stable. |
