The Pacific Islands Benthic Habitat Mapping Center provides online access to benthic habitat maps and data for coral reef ecosystems throughout the U.S. Pacific Islands, including the Hawaiian and Mariana archipelagos, American Samoa, and the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument. Accurate, high-resolution habitat maps are essential for effective management of coral reefs. Mapping products provide resource managers with information on which to base decisions about Pacific coral reef ecosystems. The Pacific Islands Benthic Habitat Mapping Center is a partnership with NOAA Fisheries Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center and the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
