Red snapper
Red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus) is a fish from the western Atlantic Ocean. They are game fish. They live in the Gulf of Mexicco and off the coast of the Southeastern United States. They live as far north as Massachusetts and Rhode Island, though this is far less common.
Some species sold as red snapper may be other fish in the family. The red snapper can be served in various ways for food.
