Bâgé-la-Ville is a former commune. It is found in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in the Ain department in the east of France. In 2009, 2,975 people lived in the commune. On 1 January 2018, it was merged into the new commune of Bâgé-Dommartin.[1] The inhabitants are the Bagésiens. The local economy is mostly based around agriculture. The most important monuments in the commune are the Château de Raponnet, an 18th-century castle, the Château de Montépin, a 13th-century castle, the Saint-Michel church and the Epaisse chapel, listed as a monument historique since 1982.
