Etymology

Literally, “from the [‌Jordan‌] river to the [‌Mediterranean‌] sea”, referring to the claim over all of pre-1948 territory of Palestine.

   لَنْ نَرْضَى إِلَّا بِتَحْرِيرِ فِلَسْطِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّهْرِ إِلَى ٱلْبَحْرِ.

   lan narḍā ʔillā bitaḥrīri filasṭīna mina n-nahri ʔilā l-baḥri.

   We will not content ourselves with anything but the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea.
